WE, need YOU TO HELP? ‘WE’ are the Help USA First Foundation’s disaster emergency response teams called ECorps spread out all over the paths of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

‘WE’ are also the 1000s of small Urgent Health Care facilities in small towns NOT visited by News cameras nor the mega charities for photo ops.

‘WE’ are patients in need of medical and mental Health Care with no money for co-pays, no transportation, NO homes and fading HOPE.

Dear Prospective Donor:

WE, need some HELP and the Hurricane Victims need some HOPE! WE, the Help USA First Foundation and its partners, are in this for the LONG HAUL, we did not have photo ops with victims, we did not stay in fancy hotels in Houston, we did not talk and run fund raising, WE just waded through water and snakes to access the damage, the level of PAIN throughout the Southeastern USA and in the Islands, we even had volunteers that lived in Mexico or have family in Mexico that went there after the Major 8.1 Earthquake where death toll continues to rise as it is in the USA in the paths of Harvey and Irma. IF you have already given to a mega-charity, Great, now GIVE to those that are still here in the small towns and villages where there are millions that have NOT heard from them. We cannot wait with ‘swollen Redden Crossed’ fingers’ until help arrive – we are HERE now 1000s need help NOW, cameras or NO cameras.!

TO be honest, we have not seen such devastation in the 37 year history of the Help USA First Foundation’s service to its Neighbors, in the USA, or Mexico. We were overwhelmed, we had NO time to call reports for photo ops our, mostly, ex-military volunteers, just jump in the water, avoiding snakes and alligators (YES, not report much on Main stream media) to pull victims out of homes and offices. We shot a few also and some residents cooked them for FOOD! Yes, snake does taste like chicken.

Many volunteers, including the undersigned left Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi and went to FLORIDA because we had family and friends in the path of IRMA. The undersigned, stayed in Tallahassee, Florida near Florida State University near a small town called Quincy, to wait for the wrath of Irma. SHE ARRIVED VERY ANGRY.

To get a handle on the situation and form an effective LOCAL solution to this varied crisis, we took a LEAN management approach and ‘triage the PAIN’ and set priorities. We decided to limit our efforts to the areas we knew BEST, Health CARE and Patients. There are over 600 Urgent Care Clinics in TEXAS alone! A large majority of those were located in the Path of Harvey. They need to restore their electronic records systems, replace computers, deal with insurance companies that are slow to help, and FIND and arrange for URGENT medical care for their now, homeless and broken PATIENTS. The patients lost medical devices like wheel chairs, oxygen equipment and expensive hospital beds used for the elderly and lets NOT forget the newborns, that arrived at shelters on boats.

Our on-site ECorps teams found out that many of our professional volunteers, had the expertise to help both the patients and the clinics. We started to provide assistance in small hardest hit towns (Yes, not everyone lived in Houston, Miami and Tampa as the media reported). The Foundation, has had ONLY 5 fund raising drives, with over 37 years dedication of service. THIS TIME IS THE 5th! WE ask YOU to be one of our Beacons of HOPE in this historic effort and show us YOUR HUMANITY.
